Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital – Kankakee is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services department, working full-time nights. You will deliver safe patient care, document assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced Telemetry setting.

Applicants must hold a current RN license, with BLS/ALS/PALS or ENPC certifications; BSN preferred. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates, with comprehensive benefits and tuition reimbursement options.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to communicate changes in patient condition.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality; adhere to EMTALA regulations.
