Job summary

St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services department, covering night shifts (7p–7:30a). The role focuses on safe patient care, assessment, and coordination within telemetry, with direct collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications include an active RN license, BLS, ALS, PALS/ENPC, and preferred CEN/BSN. A comprehensive benefits package and sign-on bonus may be offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 60 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care within the ED Telemetry unit using the nursing process.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and diagnostic results to the physician.
• Guide patient/family teaching and coordinate care with nursing staff and other disciplines.
