The State of Minnesota, Transportation Department, is seeking Temporary Snowplow Operators and related transportation staff across District 6A. Roles are emergency, intermittent, with various shifts focused on snow/ice operations, requiring CDL and strict safety checks.

Positions cover multiple Minnesota locations and may include nights, weekends, and overtime during snow events. Training and pre-employment screenings apply.

Formación

• Must possess a valid CDL Class A or B with no Airbrake Restriction.
• Obtain Class A CDL with no Airbrake and Tanker Endorsement within 6 months.
• Subject to drug and alcohol testing; pass preplacement drug test.
• Must be registered in FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• English reading/writing/speaking; maintain logs and records.
• One year experience in snow/ice or related roadway maintenance.
• Education substitution can replace one year of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain roadways for snow and ice control.
• Prepare and inspect winter equipment.
• Preseason snow route inspection and post-storm cleanup.
• Winter stockpile setup and transfer of anti-icing/de-icing chemicals.
• Install/repair/maintain snow fences; replace mailboxes.
• Document snow/ice data for inventory reporting.
• Set up traffic control and notify dispatch of disabled vehicles.
