Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee is seeking an experienced ED Technician to support leadership and day-to-day refurbishing in the Emergency Department. You will conduct rounds, document findings in Care Connection, and advise ED leadership on equipment needs and depreciation.

You will help manage cleaning needs, monitor supply usage, and participate in leadership meetings. The role also includes co-chairing monthly technician meetings and addressing patient satisfaction outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA/EMT-B/LPN/Medical Assistant certification is required.
• 2–4 years of emergency department experience preferred.
• Proficiency with PC and ED equipment helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day refurbishing initiatives in the ED.
• Conduct regular department rounds using the daily rounding tool and document in Care Connection.
• Provide input to ED leadership regarding equipment needs, planning, and depreciation.
• Identify and address cleaning needs during rounds.
• Evaluate supply usage and suggest quarterly par level adjustments.
• Represent the ED on the Leadership Team and attend leadership meetings as needed.
• Co-chair monthly ED technician staff meetings with ED Manager or Director.
• Review patient satisfaction data related to ED technician performance and develop action plans.
• Ensure ED technicians follow all organizational safety initiatives.
• Function as an ED technician as needed.
