Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians and health team members in planning and implementing treatments.
• Direct and delegate activities of the patient care unit team; ensure safety and quality of care.
• Deliver patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Document patient care and outcomes, and communicate changes promptly.
