Northwell Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide age-specific patient care using the nursing process. You will work with physicians and the health team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, coordinating procedures and treatments across the unit.

Responsibilities include comprehensive health assessments, care coordination, medication administration, wound care, patient education, and discharge planning, while ensuring safety and quality in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.

Responsabilités

• Assesses patient’s physiologic health status and documents plan of care.
• Assesses patient’s psychosocial health status and communicates care needs.
• Identifies patient outcomes and develops individualized goals.
• Formulates and prioritizes the plan of care and coordinates resources.
• Implements the plan, reassesses, and documents patient care and responses.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and contributes to performance improvement.
• Collaborates with physicians and care team; delegates assignments as appropriate.
• Provides wound care and pressure ulcer care as needed.
• Administers medications safely and educates patients on drug interactions.
• Participates in patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Performs related duties as required within essential functions.
