Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN for ER coverage in Plano, TX. The PRN position supports a small-format 16-bed hospital with 8 ER beds and 8 inpatient beds.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department, ensuring privacy and accurate documentation. The ideal candidate holds an RN license in good standing, with 2+ years ER or similar experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions required.
• 2+ years RN experience in ER or similar setting required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency in speaking and writing is required.
• Clearance acts (PA/ FBI) may apply where required and must be completed prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the ER.
• Provide age-specific and developmentally appropriate nursing care.
• Document accurately in medical records.
• Monitor and record patient signs, symptoms, and status.
• Follow physician orders and CMS policies in care delivery.
• Collect specimens and perform lab testing per policy and regulations.
• Maintain infection control and aseptic technique.
• Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Prepare equipment and assist with procedures.
• Participate in QA activities and attend required meetings.
