Job summary

Emerus, a leader in small-format hospitals, seeks an experienced ER RN to assess, plan, and deliver patient care in our emergency department in Texas. You will document care, monitor patient status, and collaborate with physicians to ensure timely treatment and safe transfers.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree (BSN preferred), current RN license, 2+ years ER experience, and active BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. English fluency is essential to communicate with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• At least 2 years of full-time ER RN experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency required for written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the ER.
• Document medical records accurately and legibly.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms, and patient status.
• Follow physician orders in delivering care.
• Perform admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Prepare and handle specimens for lab testing per policy.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Assemble equipment for diagnostic or treatment procedures.
• Participate in ongoing nursing care planning and evaluation.
