Job summary

UAB Medicine’s expanding Emergency Department at UAB Hospital in Alabama seeks experienced registered nurses to join a large, high-acuity team. The ED expansion adds 115+ treatment and triage spaces, a 30-bed observation unit, and state-of-the-art imaging and technology, including CT, X-ray, and echo ultrasound, with enhanced safety and teleadmission processes.

Qualifications

• 3 years or more of nursing experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience preferred in psychiatric nursing, psychiatric emergency nursing, or correctional nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, podiatrist, and dentist to deliver care.
