Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration is seeking a Mitigation Technician to respond to emergency calls and stabilize properties damaged by fire, water, mold, or storms. You will perform water extraction, drying, debris removal, decontamination, and coordination with the Contents Division to safeguard salvageable items.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain IICRC (Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification).
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong social awareness and customer service mindset.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Teams and complete onsite documentation using a smartphone and industry software (Proven Jobs, Encircle, Docusketch).
• Team-oriented with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
• Must safely wear PPE, including a respirator.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess damages.
• Perform water extraction and structural drying per IICRC standards.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected spaces.
• Coordinate with Contents Division to pack and store salvageables.
• Document progress with photos and notes using PSA and software.
• Communicate clearly with clients with empathy and respect.
• Maintain a clean, safe job site at all times.
• Operate and store tools and equipment properly.
• Follow warehouse and vehicle protocols with daily consumables documentation.
• Work with project managers, crew chiefs, and team members.
