Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a dedicated clinical nurse to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and provide comprehensive care for a defined patient group. You will assess, plan, intervene, and advocate throughout the continuum of care, evaluating outcomes and discharge readiness.

The role requires a BSN, at least 6 months ER experience, and the ability to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends. Excellent English communication and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• PMAB or CPI training completed or within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months ER nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for external candidates.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong reading, writing and communication in English.
• Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain pace appropriate to workload.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for a specific group of assigned patients.
• Perform professional nursing duties to assess, plan, intervene and advocate throughout the continuum of care.
• Evaluate patient outcomes, effectiveness of the plan of care, and readiness for discharge; revise plans or refer as needed.
• Act as a role model and mentor to students and new nurses; serve as a Patient Care Coordinator when requested by supervision.
