University of California - Irvine Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join the team and coordinate care for a designated patient population within a high-acuity setting. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, intervene, and advocate, ensuring safe transitions from admission to discharge.

The role requires an RN with a BSN and recent experience in critical care, ED, or perioperative areas, plus certifications such as PALS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Two years recent nursing experience in a Critical Care, Emergency Department, or Perioperative setting.
• PALS certification upon hire
• Excellent customer service skills
• Minimum six (6) months of procedural care experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for external candidates
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to cover call shifts (24/7)
• ACLS certification upon hire
• Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements (preferred)
• Moderate sedation experience (preferred)
• Bilingual skills (preferred)

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for a specific group of patients.
• Assess, plan, intervene and advocate for the patient across the continuum of care and discharge readiness.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and revise care plans; refer as necessary.
• Serve as a role model and mentor to students and new nurses.
• Act as a Patient Care Coordinator as requested by supervisor/manager.
