Job summary

UCI Health is hiring a clinical nurse to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and implement comprehensive care plans for assigned patients. The role emphasizes evidence-based assessment, planning, intervention, and ongoing advocacy throughout hospitalization.

The nurse will evaluate outcomes, revise plans as needed, and serve as a mentor to students and new nurses, acting as a Patient Care Coordinator when requested by leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; RN license valid.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital setting.
• Preferred: bilingual abilities to communicate with diverse patients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Assess, plan, intervene and advocate for patients across the continuum of care.
• Evaluate outcomes, plan effectiveness, and readiness for discharge.
• Serve as a mentor to students and new nurses; act as PCC when requested.
