Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration, part of Fortify Companies, is seeking a Mitigation Technician for field-based emergency response in the Pittsburgh, PA area. You will stabilize properties, limit further damage, and support families and businesses during stressful events, delivering professional, compassionate service.

Responsibilities include water extraction, drying, debris removal, and coordinating with project managers. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient handling of restoration tasks.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain IICRC certification.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess damage from fire, water, mold, and weather events.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation per IICRC standards.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected spaces.
• Document progress with photos and notes in PSA and other software.
• Communicate clearly with clients with empathy and respect.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
