Job summary

IdahoPTV is seeking a senior professional to manage and direct the mitigation program within the Idaho Office of Emergency Management. You will oversee staff, coordinate with partners, and support disaster recovery efforts across state agencies.

The role requires extensive knowledge of emergency management structures, laws, and planning systems, with frequent coordination across federal, state, and local entities.

Qualifications

• Describe knowledge of IOEM structure, programs, relationships with emergency response partners, and role within IMD/IDaho.
• Describe knowledge of the diversity and magnitude of disasters in Idaho.
• Describe knowledge of state/federal law, statutes, regulations, and interaction with agencies.
• Describe knowledge of NIMS/ICS/IDEOP and related processes and systems.
• Describe knowledge of WebEOC or similar planning tools.
• Describe knowledge of common computer applications and ability to generate plan products and multimedia presentations.
• Describe knowledge of written/oral communication to prepare reports and guidance, and represent IOEM.
• Describe knowledge of basic supervisory duties including counseling, training, scheduling, and assigning work.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the mitigation program and staff within IOEM.
• Coordinate response and recovery activities and oversee mitigation projects.
• Assist public and private organizations in disaster mitigation planning.
