United Future is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a hospital-employed role in Mattoon, Illinois. This high-earning position balances financial rewards with a sustainable clinical workload and a supportive team environment.

The schedule features three 10-hour blocks (6:00–16:00, 13:00–23:00, 16:00–02:00) across 15 shifts per month, with double-physician coverage, comprehensive benefits, malpractice coverage, and a retirement plan to support long-term stability.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (or extensive ED experience).
• Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license or immediate eligibility to obtain.
• Valid DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a modern ED.
• Maintain a low patient encounter pace (fewer than two per hour).
• Collaborate with a second on-duty physician for double-coverage.
• Stabilize and coordinate transfers for high-acuity cases to tertiary centers.
• Coordinate patient care with on-site inpatient psychiatry.
• Maintain thorough and timely electronic medical records.
