Sun Recruiting, Inc. is assisting a premier regional healthcare facility in Mattoon, Illinois, to recruit a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician.

The role features double-physician coverage, a balanced workload, and a lucrative compensation of $475,000 per year with three 10-hour shifts (6:00 AM–4:00 PM, 1:00 PM–11:00 PM, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM) across 15 shifts monthly. You’ll collaborate with on-site specialties, maintain accurate EMR documentation, and enjoy premier benefits including health

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Active Illinois medical license or eligibility.
• Valid DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a 32-bed ED.
• Maintain a light patient pace with fewer than two encounters per hour.
• Collaborate with a second on-duty physician for double-coverage.
• Stabilize and coordinate transfers for high-acuity cases.
• Follow a predictable 15-shift/month rotation (three 10-hour blocks).
• Coordinate patient care with on-site specialties and document in EMR.
