County Emergency Communications is seeking Emergency Medical Dispatchers to join the Tipton, PA team. You will handle urgent medical calls, verify locations and details, and determine response priorities using approved protocols.

Training and certification pathways may apply, with overtime and shift variability common in emergency services. Successful candidates will demonstrate clear communication, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to work under pressure while ensuring patient safety.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is commonly required.
• CPR certification and additional coursework may be required.
• EMD certification may be required depending on vacancy; consult exact qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Receive calls involving illness, injury and other medical emergencies.
• Confirm location, callback number, and access details.
• Ask approved questions about the patient’s condition.
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system.
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when assigned.
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications.
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responders.
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities.
