Job summary

St. Matthew’s House in Southwest Florida is seeking staff to support the Emergency Housing program. Responsibilities include completing daily program tasks, maintaining professional boundaries, and communicating effectively with residents and team members.

The role requires strong organization, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to work with individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges. Normal office environment and varied shifts, including nights and weekends, are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with addiction and mental health a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support the Emergency Housing program according to guidelines.
• Enter accurate documentation into the CMS.
• Work varied shifts including nights and weekends.
• Perform bed checks and security checks to ensure resident safety.
• Administer random drug screens as required.
• Provide respectful interaction with residents and uphold handbook guidelines.
• Present Gospel messages and offer prayer when opportunities arise.
