Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Experience with addiction and mental health a plus.
• Familiar with HIPAA laws and confidentiality.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work shifts including second/third shifts and weekends.
• Enter objective documentation into the CMS.
• Ensure residents' areas meet shelter guidelines.
• Perform bed checks during overnight coverage.
• Conduct regular security checks of the facility.
• Administer random drug screens as required.
• Sort hygiene supplies into storage containers.
• Prepare hygiene kits during front desk shifts.
• Discharge residents with accurate information.
• Handle discharged residents' items per guidelines.
• Know the phone system and transfer calls.
• Work as a team to complete tasks.
• Screen individuals after hours before entry.
• Treat residents with respect and uphold boundaries.
• Follow Shelter Handbook guidelines and hold residents accountable.
• Present Gospel messages when opportunities arise.
• Pray with residents and staff when possible.
• Uphold St. Matthew’s House core values in all duties.
