Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and six months in a 911 call center or comparable emergency response experience.
• One year in a high-volume customer-facing hospitality role or college coursework in any major with relevant certifications.
• No criminal convictions and normal hearing in each ear with normal color vision.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process calls for police, fire, ambulance, 9-1-1, and general emergency services.
• Dispatch appropriate personnel or refer callers to the correct agency.
• Provide pre-arrival and post-dispatch instructions during emergencies.
• Gather caller and location details while maintaining clear communication under pressure.
• Use multiple computer systems to enter and retrieve critical information.
• Respond to requests for information such as safety alerts and driving records.
• Operate and maintain certification for law enforcement information systems.
