Job summary

Northwest Ambulance is seeking a Dispatcher to be the voice behind the response. You will coordinate crews, schedule medical transports, and relay critical information to ambulance teams, partners, and patients.

In this fast-paced role you’ll assess caller information, assign priorities, operate a multi-line phone system, and use dispatch software to keep operations running smoothly. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Logis, New World, or other dispatching software preferred.
• Medical Terminology coursework or on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess caller information and formulate an action plan.
• Schedule and dispatch medical transports and field crews to appropriate locations.
• Evaluate call information to determine units and level of care/response.
• Convey information to field crews in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate a multi-line phone system and dispatch software.
• Maintain accurate call logs and patient information.
• Monitor field crew routes and priorities to coordinate schedules.
• Coordinate with supervisors and healthcare professionals as needed.
