Job summary

Advocate Health's MedCenter Air Communication Center in North Carolina is seeking a full-time Dispatcher for a 7pm-7am rotating schedule. You will receive emergency calls, dispatch security and responders, and document actions in the CAD system.

Required: High School Diploma or GED; 1 year Dispatch Center experience preferred; APCO Certification preferred. Training on phone and radio operations and alarm monitoring is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Dispatch Center experience preferred.
• APCO Certification preferred.
• Clear, concise speech required.
• Training in phone & radio communications and CAD entry provided.

Responsibilities

• Dispatches security personnel to scenes as requested to ensure prompt response.
• Documents service requests, confirms response, and logs actions in the Security Communications database.
• Receives calls via radio or phone and follows protocols for emergency response.
• Transmits accurate information to personnel and prioritizes calls.
• Monitors alarm panels and ensures systems return to normal after incidents.
• Monitors multiple alarm systems and dispatches appropriate agencies as needed.
