Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Security Communication Specialist in Ment Hill, NC to support MedCenter Air Communications. This full-time role involves dispatching security personnel, handling emergency calls via radio and phone, and documenting incidents in the CAD system.

Rotating 7pm–7am shifts, 12-hour blocks, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and calm decision-making. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of dispatch center experience preferred, and APCO certification is

High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year Dispatch Center experience preferred.
APCO Certification preferred.
Must speak clearly and concisely; training provided for phone/radio operations and CAD entry.

Responsibilities

Dispatches Security personnel to scenes as requested to ensure prompt response.
Document service requests and events in Security Communications database.
Receive calls via radio or phone and follow protocols to ensure effective emergency responses.
Transmit accurate information and prioritize emergency calls appropriately.
Monitor alarm systems and ensure prompt incident response.
