Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. This full-time role delivers professional nursing care in a fast-paced ED and coordinates care with the multidisciplinary team.

Candidates must have 2 years of ED experience and an active RN license in the state, plus BCLS. ACLS and PALS within six months of hire; ENPC/TNCC optional. A $15,000 sign-on and relocation assistance are provided.

Qualifications

• 2 years ED experience required.
• Current RN license within the state of practice.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• ACLS Certified within six months of hire.
• PALS within six months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC optional.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes and adjusts nursing care.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments for diverse patient populations.
• Assesses and manages pain and educates patients and families.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely care and proper categorization.
