Job summary

Qualifications

• CPR-Basic Life Support certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• TECC, PALS, Phlebotomy, EKG credentials preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may qualify for the role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ED care team including physicians, PCAs, unit secretaries and RNs.
• Monitor patients for acute changes and communicate observations to RN/physician.
• Assist with procedures and patient care activities per ED policy and physician requests.
• Establish and maintain peripheral IV access.
• Obtain patient history, check vital signs and notify team of observations.
• Maintain workload assignments as directed by Flow/Resource/Charge nurse.
