Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking Registered Nurses to deliver direct patient care within the Emergency Department. The role requires active Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS, and adherence to nursing standards. ACLS/PALS may be required for certain units. A BSN is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN.
• ACLS/ALS certification may be required per site policy.
• BSN highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process for patient care from Admission to Discharge.
• Perform patient assessment/reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develop and coordinate patient care plans including discharge planning.
• Administer medications and assist physicians with procedures.
• Participate in Nursing Governance and quality improvement initiatives.
