Job summary

Qualifications

Summary:

The Emergency Department Technician II role assists the healthcare team in organizing and implementing basic department activities such as stocking, results retrieval and patient tracking. Under the guidance of the registered nurse, this role will perform patient care such as vital signs, pulse oximetry, EKG, phlebotomy and other simple procedures. Orients new team members and students and provides educational offerings in unit.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: High school graduate or GED preferred.
  • License/Certifications: EMT-Advanced, EMT-Basic, Medical Assistant, or CNA certification required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: Six (6)+ months of experience as an Emergency Department Technician.

The pay range for this position is $21.09to $27.12 per hour.
