Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA, seeks an Emergency Department Technician to support RN and physician teams, ensure oxygen tanks are stocked, and prepare bedside supplies.

Responsibilities include transporting patients, assisting with assessments, and providing vital signs documentation; candidates must have EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant credentials and BLS certification; a quick path to CPI and dysrhythmia cert within 90 days is expected.

Qualifications

• EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant required.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association required.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification due within 6 months of hire.
• Current Phlebotomy certification - California preferred.
• CPI Certification within first 90 days of employment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Telephone, typing, and filing skills.
• Basic computer systems.
• Basic knowledge of nursing care terminology and functions.

Responsibilities

• Reports and documents in the emergency department information system patient care performed such as vital signs, bedside care, and observations.
• Provides telephone services, including answering and directing calls, giving information, paging physicians, overhead paging of safety codes, and returning calls.
• Notifies ancillary departments of needs for patient services in a timely and appropriate manner.
