Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support ED staff in delivering timely patient care. Responsibilities include stocking supplies, transporting patients, and assisting RNs and physicians with assessments and treatments.

The role requires EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant credentials, BLS, and strong English communication. You will work under the Clinical Supervisor in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety.

Qualifications

• EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant certification required.
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association required.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification due within 6 months of hire.
• Current Phlebotomy certification – State of California preferred.
• CPI certification within first 90 days of employment.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Assure all oxygen tanks are full and available on each gurney and stock rooms with supplies and linens.
• Transport patients to ancillary departments as needed and assist RNs and physicians.
• Assist the unit clerk with clerical duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.
• Document patient care in the emergency department information system; monitor vital signs, provide bedside care and observations.
