Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support RN/MD staff, manage oxygen supplies, and transport patients to necessary departments. The role emphasizes assisting with bedside care, assessments, and clerical tasks to ensure smooth emergency department operations.

Ideal candidates hold EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant qualifications with BLS and can obtain dysrhythmia certification within 6 months. Strong communication and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant (Required).
• BLS (Issued by American Heart Association) (Required).
• Basic dysrhythmia certification within 6 months of hire.
• Current Phlebotomy certification - State of California preferred.
• CPI Certification within first 90 days of employment.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Telephone, typing, and filing skills.
• Basic computer systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all oxygen tanks are full and available on each gurney and stock rooms with bedside supplies.
• Transport patients to ancillary departments as needed.
• Assist RNs and physicians with assessments, examinations, and treatments as directed; support unit clerks as assigned.
