Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital Inc is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support patient care in the fast-paced ED. You will help with patient transport, bedside supplies, and collaboration with RNs and physicians to facilitate assessments and treatments.

Ideal candidates will hold EMT/CNA/Medical Assistant credentials, BLS, and a willingness to obtain required certifications. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within UHS family.

Qualifications

• EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant certification is required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification within 6 months of hire.
• Phlebotomy certification - State of California preferred.
• CPI certification obtained within first 90 days of employment.
• Strong communication skills in English and good telephone/typing abilities.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with nursing terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assure all oxygen tanks are full and available on each gurney and stock rooms with supplies.
• Transport patients to ancillary departments as needed.
• Assist RNs and physicians with assessments, examinations, and treatments.
• Support unit clerk with clerical duties as directed by Clinical Supervisor.
• Document patient care and vital signs in the emergency department system.
