Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Patient Care Associate to provide direct patient care and support unit coordination. Under RN supervision, you will assist with basic nursing procedures, monitor vitals, and document care in the electronic medical record.

You will help manage admissions, discharges and transfers on the inpatient unit. You will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, IV access, and assist with mobility and comfort.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; PCA/PCT experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR/documentation knowledge.
• CPR training and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and documents in the EMR.
• Assists RN with care of stable patients and unit coordination.
