Job summary

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• 1 year in an acute or long-term care facility OR enrolled in an Associate's in Nursing or Bachelor's in Nursing program.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficient in Phlebotomy and straight catheterization.

Responsibilities

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care and activities such as ADLs, vital signs, specimen collection, phlebotomy, I&O, EKG, and mobility protocols.
• Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers and coordinates inpatient unit activities.
• Documents patient care accurately in the electronic medical record and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Participates in quality initiatives, bedside reporting and roundings to promote safety and cleanliness.
• Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
