Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a patient care associate to provide direct patient care, assist with unit coordination, and support RN staff on a stable-condition inpatient unit. You will perform basic nursing procedures, document in the electronic medical record, and help with admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Candidates should have a High School diploma, and relevant healthcare experience or enrollment in a nursing program; basic computer skills; and CPR/clearances as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience as PCA/PCT/NA/LPN, or enrolled in nursing program.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and document care in the EMR.
• Assist RN with patient care, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Participate in quality initiatives and safety protocols.
• Maintain patient comfort and unit cleanliness.
• Respond to emergencies and follow hospital policies.
