Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Florida is looking for a Patient Service Specialist to join our team, supporting Emergency Department and Outpatient Admitting registration areas. You will deliver a patient-first experience and help guide patients through registration, scheduling, and MyChart enrollment.

The role requires flexibility with day/evening/night shifts and weekend/holiday rotation, with potential cross-site support between Tradition and St. Lucie West.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience in patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance processing or customer service.
• OR an Associate’s Degree and one year of experience.
• OR a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Ability to perform basic math sufficient to process insurance co-pays.
• Working knowledge of PC window applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Emergency Department and Outpatient Admitting registration areas.
• Provide a comprehensive, proactive and ‘Patients First’ experience for patients and visitors.
• Investigate, triage and resolve patient issues using the HEART model.
• Enter and maintain confidential patient information.
• Recruit, enroll and educate patients on MyChart and Appointment Pass.
• Conduct follow-ups to MyChart, web appointment inquiries and outreach to patients informing them of upcoming routine checkups.
• Process the workflow for the day.
• Generate staff provider schedules and relay staff messaging.
