Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Patient Representative to work with Nursing and administrative staff in the Emergency Department to provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities include greeting patients, guiding flow, and assisting in waiting areas with information and emotional support.

The role requires knowledge of hospital policies, strong interpersonal skills, and good communication. A rotating 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm shift includes weekends; benefits include medical plans, PTO,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Requires knowledge of general policies and procedures of the Patient Representative program, normally acquired over 3-6 months in position.
• Substantial interpersonal skills need to frequently interact with patients, families and medical staff.
• Advance communication skills.
• Knowledge of general office equipment.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and direct the flow of patients and visitors in the Emergency Department.
• Serve as a source of information for patients and families in the waiting room.
• De-escalate situations as required and provide emotional support to family members and patients.
