Job summary

Mount Sinai West is seeking a Supervisor of Patient Access Services for the Emergency Department to oversee daily registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance. The role supervises frontline staff, provides coaching, and ensures adherence to HIPAA and regulatory standards across one or more hospital locations within the Mount Sinai Health System.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years in Patient Access, plus supervisory experience and EPIC proficiency, in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Patient Access or hospital registration.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Experience in a unionized healthcare environment preferred.
• Experience with EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure timely registration, insurance capture, and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and quality, providing real-time coaching.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy and security standards and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with clinical units to resolve patient access-related issues.
