Qualifications

• Typing speed of 35 wpm required.
• Must pass competency tests regularly.
• Excellent interpersonal, written & oral communication skills with patients, payers, physicians & HH customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with a welcoming experience across Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Services.
• Assist with scheduling, pre-registration, financial clearance, referrals, authorizations, financial counseling, and patient arrival & registration.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements; determine patient liability and collect deposits as needed.
• Understand and explain insurance policies and coverage to patients and families.
• Cross-train to support roles in Patient Access as needed.
• Maintain accurate and efficient patient access records and communications.
