The role requires strong customer service, English communication, and knowledge of payer and government health plans; experience with hospital registration software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills in a medical setting.
• Proficient in medical terminology.
• Experience with registration or billing software programs.
• Experience in a hospital or medical office setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of Government and Commercial insurance plans.
• Ability to navigate payer and government websites to interpret health plan benefits.

Responsibilities

• Handle pre-admission, financial counseling, and insurance notification.
• Verify eligibility and authorization for services.
• Manage registrations and referrals, including timelines and accuracy.
• Support unscheduled admissions in acute care or mental health settings.
• Assist with NICU transfers and other duties as assigned.
