Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Patient Access Representative I to provide a welcoming experience and facilitate access to care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services. The PAR I role covers scheduling, pre-registration, financial clearance, referrals, authorizations, and patient arrival/registration.

Strong customer service and EPIC EMR experience are highly valued, with flexibility including weekends.

Qualificações

• Minimum high school diploma; associate degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare.
• 1 year of healthcare experience in Patient Access or Revenue Cycle preferred.
• EPIC EMR and insurance verification experience strongly desired.
• Scheduling flexibility, including weekend commitments.

Responsabilidades

• Performs Patient Access activities across Scheduling, Pre-Registration, Financial Clearance, Referrals, Authorizations, Financial Counseling, and Patient Arrival/Registration, as assigned.
• Obtains, verifies and updates patient demographics, financial information, and insurance eligibility to ensure financial clearance.
• Selects physician referrals and ensures proper privileging and coverage as needed.
• Explains patient estimates and collects funds to meet department goals.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to regulatory requirements.
