Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO seeks experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RNs to support high-acuity care across departments. You will float to ED and other acute care areas based on needs, delivering evidence-based, patient-centered nursing.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of RN experience, BSN, and BLS, with willingness to float; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; compact licenses must transfer within 60 days of start.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is Required. Degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with organizational policies and clinical standards.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
