Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is seeking an experienced RN to join the Emergency Department Float Pool. The role floats across ED and other acute care areas, supporting patient care in a fast-paced environment with collaboration from trauma teams and physicians.

The position requires an active RN license, BSN, and BLS, with 1 year of experience preferred. Full-time days or nights, 10% float differential, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
