Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO seeks experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RNs. You will float between ED and designated acute care areas, delivering rapid, evidence-based nursing care and collaborating with trauma teams to support patient care during high-acuity episodes.

The role emphasizes adaptability, critical thinking, and teamwork, with full-time days or nights and a 10% float differential. BSN is required, and BLS cert is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with <12 months must obtain BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency settings.
• Perform rapid assessments, prioritize care, initiate interventions.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide care to patients with a wide range of emergencies and conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments per policies and standards.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and follow-up care.
