Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is seeking experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RNs to provide care across ED and acute units. You will float based on operational needs, collaborate with trauma teams and physicians, and deliver urgent, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include BSN, active RN license in state, BLS, 1 year RN experience; compensation includes a 10% float differential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice; compact licenses must transfer within 60 days of start.
• Minimum one year RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• BSN degree required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with <12 months experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, APs, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Adapt to varying workflows, patient volumes, and acuity levels while upholding safety.
