Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO, seeks an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN to support fast-paced, high-acuity care across units. As an ED Float Pool RN, you’ll perform rapid assessments, collaborate with physicians and trauma teams, and deliver evidence-based care while floating to needed areas.

Requires BSN and BLS; ED/trauma experience preferred. This full-time role offers day or night shifts, a 36-hour week, and a 10% float differential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice and compact licenses transferred within 60 days.
• Minimum one year RN experience.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is required and will be verified.
• If <12 months experience, BSN must be obtained within 4 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency settings.
• Perform rapid assessments, prioritize care, and initiate interventions.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, technicians and teams.
• Provide care to diverse patients with emergencies and injuries.
• Administer medications and procedures per policies and standards.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and follow-up.
• Adapt to varying workflows and acuity while maintaining safety.
• Support teamwork and continuous improvement culture.
