Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, seeks an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN to support fast-paced, high-acuity care across ED and other acute areas. You will perform rapid assessments, coordinate with the care team, and provide evidence-based nursing to diverse patients.

This role offers 36 hours per week with a 10% float differential; full-time days or nights available.

Qualifications

Current RN license in the state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of start date.
Minimum one year of RN experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
BSN is required; degree will be verified.
RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per organizational policies and standards.
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
