Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County is hiring a clinical nurse to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for a specific group of assigned patients. You will evaluate patient outcomes and readiness for discharge, and mentor students and nurses new to the unit.

Qualified candidates will hold a BSN, have at least 6 months of ER nursing experience, and be able to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with strong English

Qualifications

• BSN is required for external candidates.
• Minimum 6 months ER nursing experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement plans of care for a specific patient group.
• Assess, plan, intervene and advocate for patients across the continuum of care; evaluate outcomes and readiness for discharge.
• Mentor students and new nurses; function as a PCC Patient Care Coordinator as requested.
