Job summary

Sentara Independence Emergency Department in Virginia Beach seeks a Full-time Administrative Associate to support operations, manage patient records, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries.

This role provides clerical support, serves as the first point of contact for patients, families and visitors, and collaborates with medical staff to ensure delivery of high-quality care during swing night shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; medical office systems knowledge preferred.
• Strong time management, multitasking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support and manage patient records.
• Schedule appointments and respond to patient inquiries.
