Job summary

OhioHealth Corporation seeks a dedicated Protective Services - Operators professional to manage high-volume inbound calls, relay messages for doctors, and coordinate paging for multiple hospitals. You will respond to codes, guide callers, and maintain on-call schedules while ensuring safety across facilities.

The role requires HS diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification within 6 months of hire, and excellent verbal communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/BLS certification within 6 months of hire is expected.
• Experience in a high call-volume environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer ACD telephone system for multiple OhioHealth hospitals using Amtelco.
• Direct callers to proper area or departments.
• Answer patient information calls and transfers as appropriate.
• Initiate emergency pages and announcements via pocket paging and overhead systems.
• Respond to emergency codes and contact medical staff as needed.
• Maintain daily on-call schedules and update on-call information.
• Answer after-hours calls for clinical areas and assist on special projects.
• Monitor security cameras to assist in safety of facilities.
